  imagine yourself still sitting at a kingdom hall meeting and turn to the book of mark 7: 21-23. the sayings of jesus are really profound.

  the scripture makes you think, reflect, enters your heart and produces results.. today, you have your modern day governing body ( who supposedly are the mouthpiece for jesus and jehovah and provide spiritual food for the 8 million followers).

  if jehovah really sends his holy spirit upon these seven men, is this silly and petty message they can come up with?

  “Worldly women … even some of our sisters now … what it is is this spanx, this skin-tight stuff they wear ... when they exercise. They leave their home and they’re jogging in this stuff … is that appropriate? To wear skin-tight spanx, or whatever they call it? It’s not modest … It’s really not appropriate….

  “For these young fellas … it’s the metrosexual look … Metrosexual — that’s the tight suit jacket and the tight pants … and they are tight, I mean tight, all the way down to the ankles and that is not modest, brothers …

  Today, you have your modern day Governing Body ( who supposedly are the mouthpiece for Jesus and Jehovah and provide spiritual food for the 8 million followers). If Jehovah really sends his holy spirit upon these seven men, is this silly and petty message they can come up with? All they do is place rules, regulations, and heavy human loads on its members. They really have no sayings of everlasting life.

  Why did the Governing Body come behind the curtain?

  in the movie the wizard of oz, while the whole yellow brick road gang was being addressed by the great and powerful wizard of oz, the dog toto ran off to the side, pulled back on a curtain, and showed that a normal-looking humbug of a person was operating cranks and levers.

  for a short while, the normal-looking man kept yanking levers and cranking cranks, and said into the microphone (which made the great and powerful wizard speak the same words) "pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!

  Ego. Vanity. Lust for adulation. Take your pick.

  They all seem scared of the camera and look stiff. They are not great speakers. Samuel Herd looks like he's the bearer of bad news and can't wait to get off the scene.

  I think they like all the attention/adulation but it seems they were forced to make these broadcasts from either the Watchtower lawyers or hired a media company to take them into the 21st century. I think they will retreat from these broadcasts and call it a failure.

  In the movie The Wizard of Oz, while the whole Yellow Brick Road gang was being addressed by the Great And Powerful Wizard Of Oz, the dog Toto ran off to the side, pulled back on a curtain, and showed that a normal-looking humbug of a person was operating cranks and levers. I AM The Great And Powerful Wiz . . .

  

  Why did the Governing Body come around the curtain and expose themselves? You see them all over JW Broadcasting, signing Bibles, taking pictures with members, and their pictures are plastered all over the place. They have become Bible movie stars.

  I feel that none of them are great teachers or speakers. They all sound monotone when speaking. I would fall asleep at one of their talks. I can't believe that these 7 men are the spokesman/mouthpiece for Jesus and Jehovah. The have no sayings of everlasting life. It's like finding out how sausage is made. It may taste good but once you see how sausage is made you will loose your appetite. I liked it better when I was in and never saw behind the curtains.

  Coca-Cola sells 2.5 billion cans of soda each year......people still buy this surgery drink that is bad for the human body.

  Britney Spears has sold over 100 million records in her career....to me she has no talent but to some teenagers she gives the Beatles a run for their money.

  In 2017, there were 120,053 Kingdom Halls in the world with 8,457,107 members who call themselves Jehovah's Witnesses.Started in the 1870's with very few members it has grown to over 8 million.

  Why does the religion continue?

  It's the first and only religion they have only looked into

  Most members born into the religion...most children will follow their parents religion

  Clean cut members who wear suits and dresses....how they look make them appear more honest

  Supposedly Bible- based....they carry the Bible and the religion is reading material based

  It draws people who love prophecies and makes them different than other religion

  Loss of health, job, death in family....life in a paradise earth sounds good when you are down and out

  Faithful and Discreet Slave...they are the mouthpiece for God. If I follow their direction I will live in the new paradise earth

  Laziness...people like to follow someone/something because they are too lazy to do their own research

  My two Jehovah's Witness cousins and I attended a wake/funeral for a very good friend of ours. We paid our final respects to the family and sat about 4 rows from the front.

  While we were sitting, a former elder from our congregation ( who was disfellowshipped along with his wife and 2 children ) walked over and paid his respects to the family of the deceased.

  He notices my two cousins and I sitting near the front and proceeds to walk over and say hello to us. ( It's been years since we all talked to each other). As soon as my two Jehovah's Witness cousins saw the ex-elder approach us, they got up and left their seats. They sat in the back row until they saw that I was done talking to him and walked back up front as soon as he left the funeral home.

  All they had to do was say hello to him and have small talk. I always thought that disfellowshipped people were o.k. to talk to at a wake/funeral !
